Levon Brooks

Do you know what I mean? Like it's like a-- it's, it, it's, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's, it's a, like, like in a-- And even like one of my favorite characters in the show, Ralph, he also is kinda like that.

He kinda, you know-- I don't know if he's supposed to be like from The Deer Hunter or what but he, he c-- You know, the, some of the characters are m-way more heightened than others which again that does work for Friday the 13th but because, because Levon, I think his name is Levon Brooks, the chief of police is such a grounded character to have his sister...

And again she's not like the personnel-- It's not-- It's less-- It's more in like the wardrobe and things like that but she just feels very, very '70s and he feels much more toned down and so-- And again this takes place in the '70s so you expect people to look '70s but there's just something about when they're playing with the time that the shows exist in- You notice how there's, there's like a consistent ambient level of it, and when things breach that, you kind of notice.

You know, and again, it's, it's, it's a minor point, but it was, it was something that I, I, I, I thought of as I was watching it.

You know, and I will say, though, there was another character, the-- that was-- I think his name was Dorf, and he's kind of a goofball deputy at the...

He, he's, he's almost like a Don-- not quite Don Knotts level, but almost, you know? And he's got like a father who's like a, you know, kind of-- he seems like he might have been abusive and is definitely a bit of a racist towards the, the, the sheriff.

Levon's character is Black and, uh, and he's in the, the Crystal Lake.

And, and so-- But I, I thought that they really had the, the Dorf character have an interesting progression over the show.

Then we incorporate in all of the strange, then we incorporate in all of the town characters, the shady corporate, the shadowy corporate secrets, the local law enforcement, even a little bit of a love story.

with Pam and the chief of police, which I really enjoyed watching.

I wanted Pam to find some happiness and fulfillment.

And even though I think that's difficult for her, given the journey that she's on.

I appreciated the way that Levon supported her and also called her out when he needed to, but also liked that they believed exactly what Pam was telling him and his sister.

Having this whole separate investigation and the bellflower and the people coming after her, and that's how the series opens and you don't find out until episode seven.

well done she is basically narrating that whole penultimate episode where she's telling lee and his sister what happened to her and i i love that when it was all said and done and that they used that narration device for having those flashbacks that the first thing they said was no like we believe you and i can't believe everything that they've put you through And I'm assuming that the chief of police does end up surviving.

It's unclear if we will get a season two.
