You know, as long as Level-5 isn't like, "Could you just put a bunch of AI in it?" And Capcom's like, "No.

Yeah, I'm convinced that the whole Level-5 is the reason why that re-release has taken so long.

AI news, oh boy, Level 5 has been facing extreme backlash over their abundant and shameless use of AI in upcoming projects.

This includes having their Level 5 vision show be done entirely by an AI host.

The controversy is also putting future Professor Layton games and the upcoming Yo-Kai Watch game in some hot water, to say the least.

They did confirm, however, that Professor Layton New World of Steam did not have any AI used in the development cycle.

shut yeah In delayment news, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble Survivaton, the Vampire Survivors Jujutsu Kaisen clone that's being developed by the developers of Vampire Survivors, has been delayed to 2027.

Ubisoft has also delayed Rayman Legends Retold to December 3rd.

uh whether this affects the rayman origins uh remaster i don't know um so i believe that still will be coming out later this next month but i don't know for sure about that one either uh in reboot news the first professor lazy game is getting remastered and remade for 2027 uh Again, because it's being done by Level 5, from what they said, they're only using an AI tool, but no generative AI.

Right.

Right? I mean, if you were looking at Nintendo releases for this month, um, I think they were involved in the publishing of Yo-Kai Watch, but that was, you know, Level-5.

We are getting a new Professor Layton game.

Right? Never played Professor Layton, but I know it's a staple level 5 franchise.

And we're getting a remake of Yo-Kai Watch 2 Haunted Domain, which is incredible because I just played Yo-Kai Watch 2 on the 3DS.

Never played a Yo-Kai Watch game before that, and I completely understood the hype.

Never thought that it would happen.

So very excited.

And did you know that Level 5 did their own Direct? Their own showcase.

The day after the Nintendo Direct came out, Level 5 did a showcase where they talked about a lot of games.

So take advantage of that.

Level-5 is s- really starting to panic amidst increasing AI backlashes from Oli Reynolds at Nintendo Life.

Uh, Level-5 has issued another statement in the wake of increasing backlash against its stance and use of generative AI.

Essentially, it sounds like the company is really starting to panic at this point, and has made attempts to explain anomalies found within its trailers and presentations.

It's also apologized for causing distrust with what it calls immaturity of its AI utilization, while confirming that Professor Layton and the New World's theme will not include any AI.

It has issued no such confirmation, however, for the newly announced remake of Professor Layton and the Curious Village.

Level-5 explains that irregula- irregularities in imagery from Yo-Kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain is due to human error, including simplification of power lines that led them to be mistaken for AI.

It was supposedly hand drawn by Level-5's designers.

it was for the, for their Level-5's whole presentation of new stuff, it was definitely an AI-generated garbage video.

Uh, we don't know how much, if at all, they're using it in the actual game assets.

Gotcha, okay.

Um, I saw this on Video Games Chronicle.

Our friend Andy Robinson wrote it, or wrote, hit the story over there, and he says, "Level-5 boss admits using AI for Professor Layton and Yo-Kai Watch reveals." And they write, quote, "Last week, the Japanese studio held a digital showcase," Level-5, of course, "where it announced new entries in many of its beloved series.

However, the showcase was quickly met with criticism after social media users gathered evidence that most of the showcase utilized generative AI.

One fan wrote, quote, 'I was so excited when Level-5 announced their big comeback with Professor Layton, DecaPolice...' DecaPolice looks so good, '...

and Yo-Kai Watch and more.

But seeing this such blatant gen AI being used across their games, yeah, this ain't it,' end quote.

Another user added, quote, 'The Level-5 we knew is long gone at this point.

What came back seems to b- rely way too much on gen AI.

But if there's zero new Switch 2 game announcements for the rest of 2026, I'm fully satisfied.

Level 5 had a presentation, and in pure Level 5 fashion, they delayed it an hour the second it was supposed to start due to technical issues.

Only level 5 could delay something the literal second it was supposed to come out.

It was hosted by a horrible looking AI Hino, but fortunately we got a lot of info on their upcoming games.
