And it ended up, when it finally got made, it was Anton Deck did the main voices in it.

Les Dennis was one of the other characters.

And I remember...

Checking into an hotel in Barcelona sometime, probably 2002 maybe.

He said, you know, Steve Harvey, the black guy with a big tash who does family fortunes in America.

He's the black Les Dennis.

That's what he is.

If you're American, you're not going to get that joke.

But if you're British, you might enjoy the idea of Steve Harvey being the black Les Dennis.

The joke there is Steve Harvey is this gigantic, successful, amazing man.

And Les Dennis is Les Dennis, isn't he? um did bosh amanda holden though and by bosh i mean smash and respectfully uh by smash i mean um do uh yes and so steve harvey said the your gift is the thing you do best with the least amount of effort and now i was like fuck the thing i do best with the least amount of effort is this i don't find this an effort at all I actually stopped myself from, believe this or not, I stopped myself from recording podcasts all the time because I'm like, you know what? No one wants to hear my shit.

But I could churn out an hour podcast every fucking day.

[laughs] And her and Les Dennis' rooms had been double-booked.

And she walked in to Les-

injury for Baxter and he's not out for too long but yeah you're right that could jeopardise whatever plans we had for this week of bringing a new player in because yeah we could be looking for a new goalkeeper

yeah I was just thinking to myself what's Les Dennis up to these days so he might be available I've just had a look he was on the bench for Bournemouth against Man City today so the bright lights of the premiership might stop him coming back to us if we need him

yeah well he didn't do himself any harm last year coming back to us on loan, did he, for the sort of six months.

So, it's good news for him.
