Leonore Lemmon

By 1959, however, things had started to fizzle out.

Reeves, it seems, was getting ready to settle down again, this time with a secretive society girl known as Leonore Lemmon.

Lemmon hung around the same crowds as Lois Andrews, the child showgirl we talked about last week.

She was known on the East Coast as a cafe girl in New York City, and that's where she met George Reeves in the late 1950s.

Also, strangely, they found the bullet that killed him lodged in the ceiling of the bedroom.

Perhaps the strangest and most unnerving evidence, though, was the fact that two additional bullets were found in the floorboard of the bedroom, both shot from the same gun seemingly at or around the same time.

The discoveries were at odds with the story that was coming out of Leonore Lemmon, who was their primary and only witness, essentially, that came forward from this party.

According to her, George had gone upstairs around 1:30, and that was the last time anyone had seen him alive.
