So for us, as soon as you start leaning into that, you start going, where's the good soil? where's the legacy piece going to be? It's wonderful just seeing the Leon Morris legacy of the library, but also his own investments in terms of the future.

One of the reasons the scholars say that the gospel was spread so quickly in the first century was that you had a culture that was bothered by its sin.

So the gospel came as an answer to something that was bothering them.

What bothers people in Orange County is that they don't have two 700 Series BMWs, they only have one.

Justification is an understandably strange doctrine to those who have substituted self-realization for salvation.

In fact, by making this trade, the churches are actually surrendering the message that can truly heal problems that merely therapeutic imperatives cannot.

The logic that connects Pelagianism, justification by works, and exemplary atonement, adoptionist Christology, and Unitarianism, has been known by scholars observing the tradition of Erasmus in the last four centuries.

The other source here that's worth mentioning is Leon Morris in the Evangelical Dictionary of Theology.

Because he points out that we don't find any of the kind of violent struggle you would expect if a divinely ordained Congregationalism or Presbyterianism were overthrown.

On the other hand, the same threefold ministry that we've been talking about is seen as universal throughout the early church as soon as there is sufficient evidence to show us the nature of the ministry.

I, I might read one more quote here.

This is from Leon Morris, and if you wanna read some more on the subject, he has a great book called Apocalyptic.

This is one of the quotes.

He says, "This type of literature abounds in beasts and seals, in rivers and mountains and stars, in personages celestial and infernal.

They cohabit with cows and sire elephants, camels, and asses.

Later, we learn of a white bull that becomes a man, and of bulls which sired creatures as diverse as lions, tigers, wolves, squirrels, vul- vultures, and others.

Such wonders are found over and over." And Leon Morris's point as he's saying this is like, hey, this is how an ancient reader would have interpreted it.

And if we come in with, "Hey, this is pointing to the Vietnam War helicopter, and it definitely means this," or "Th- this is America carrying Israel to safety," these contemporary associations, we're, we're completely missing the point.
