And I called my editor at The New Yorker, I called my editor at The New Yorker, Leo Carey, and I said, "You know, I have a great comic personal history piece by the end of this semester," because it's a setup for a sitcom.

You know, your cranky, cantankerous, octogenarian parent sitting with your 17-year-old students.

It has Frasier vibes, actually.

And that became a wonderful kind of meta reflection on what we were doing when we were asking people to be in conversation about criticism.

Last season, my beloved editor at The New Yorker, Leo Carey, came and instead of just talking to him, I read him Eight dreams that I've had about him and asked him to analyze my dreams, which could have gone terribly, but actually went really, really beautifully, I think.

And the reason that Anna is here is because she wrote a profile of me for a publication called Business Insider, which ran with the headline...
