It's part of the reason when I did my list last week around the best non-preferred kicks, I had Dean Cox in that list because that left foot around the corner led to the Leo Barry mark.

Uh, today's episode is a doozy for a few reasons, but most importantly, it's kind of like, I guess, maybe we're gonna call it a bonus episode, but we have been able to sit down with the incredible Barnaby Howarth and talk through his amazing life.

Now, for you, those of you who don't know Barnaby, um, amongst many, many other things, probably relevant to the Swans component of it, we should acknowledge, he was a reserves player in the 1998 team, you know, playing with the likes of Goodesy, and Kirky and, and, uh, you know, Leo Barry and a few of those others in their early start at the Swans.

And [clears throat] would you believe that's probably one of the least interesting things about Barnaby, because he also, um, beyond being a type 1 diabetic, had a stroke as a result of a gang attack.

So shout out to you.

Yeah, we say it's a bit of a Leo Barry moment.

He really clunks it, like two people around

I've had, it's been a wonderful journey since, you know.

You and I went to the 2005 grand final because you were working for the AFL and we got to watch leaping Leo Barry take that amazing mark.

I watched them win in 2012 in a pub in Windsor drinking, you know, Guinness in the middle of the morning, very early in the morning.

And- but Sydney have always been the good guys and we had the no dickheads policy when, when they booed Adam Goodes, we were the ones that said, no, you don't do that to people.

And I thought Andrew Dillon's statement was really, really good.

I sat in the, the pocket of Leo Barry's mark in two thousand and five and watched, you know, a seventy-year-old man cry, and sat there with my old man and watched, uh, them win a, them win a premiership.

And I've sat there at the grand finals and, and, and watched them get battered over the last few years, and nothing sort of got close to how disappointed and shattered I am for what's happened over the, the last few days.

And just for, for everyone at the club who's, who worked so hard and, and, um, to get in the position they are now is ...
