Leo Awards

She is an actress, producer, executive producer and director.

She actually won the Leo Award for Best Direction in a dramatic series just a couple of weeks ago.

She's a legend.

She's an icon.

And it did really well in the awards circuit post-2024.

It was nominated for four Leo Awards.

If you don't know what the Leo Awards are, it's a major industry awards for TV and movie productions in British Columbia.

And it got nominated for four – Costumes, Makeup, Cinematography, and Best TV Movie – Writer-director Ryan Landels was also nominated for Outstanding Directing by the Directors Guild of Canada.

So that did really well with the award ceremonies up there after the movie came out in December of 2024.

Also, the movie was award-winning.

It took home the Leo Award, which is a distinctions given to distinguished films made in the British Columbia TV industry.

It won Best Picture Editing Youth or Children's Program or Series in 2021.

So it won an award, albeit a very specific one.

It actually won the Leo Award for Best Web Series.

That was a web series that the film program at UVic put together.

And I had...

This show has 10 nominations and one win.

And that was for a Leo Award for Best Picture Editing for a Music, Comedy, or Variety Program for Lisa Robinson.

And that is the history of this show.

Is this whole thing a tax write-off or something? How is this on season five?

It sold out its screenings at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and then went on to a global theatrical release, including topping the box office in New Zealand.

And recently it won the Best Motion Picture Award at the Leo Awards.
