Lena Tam

I can't answer one way or the other.

The question I was given in advance for writing was there's a grassroots effort that other East Bay Council members and Supervisor Lena Tam have endorsed to create a public bank, and would I push for Alameda to join that effort? I was able to talk with the person who followed that project on Lena Tam's staff, and she having a bank is a big deal.

It's not easy.

The funding would come from a general obligation bond.
