Bonnie D. GrahamHOST
What do you think, what resonates with you about the prediction that Scott shared?

Len LandaleGUEST
So the one thing that I think is going to be a little bit different there is I think it's going to be more decentralized.

Len LandaleGUEST
I think the companies that get it right are going to have it more decentralized.

Len LandaleGUEST
It's not going to be the CEO talking to the CIO and making that decision and then pushing it down.

Len LandaleGUEST
The companies that get it right with these four deployed engineers are going to take take the burden off of their current IT department, leveraging their resolve, right? I don't have to do the day to day.

Len LandaleGUEST
I can free up half of my time, then deploy those individuals closer to the business so they can understand what at the grassroots level, what's important to them? How can they make their job better, faster, more productive, et cetera, and then have the capabilities in IT to deploy those changes rapidly? And that's that constantly evolving landscape that Scott kind of alluded to is if the person who's working with the business, an individual contributor in IT, has at its disposal the ability to talk to an AI and say, we need to change the way this application works.

Len LandaleGUEST
And that AI can then go in and write the code and push it into the cycle and get it deployed in production.

Len LandaleGUEST
Nothing works, right? Well, there's two angles in my mind, right? So nothing works, so nothing works is like the bane of IT, right? That's when you're getting contacted.

Len LandaleGUEST
So to Scott's point, IT is doing its job when there are no problems, right? So trying to stay on top of those problems is the...

Len LandaleGUEST
the constant battle, right? So from that perspective, the historical IT service industry is trying to make the nothing works statement evaporate from their customers.

Len LandaleGUEST
I've tried nothing and I'm out of ideas is actually a line I use with my children all the time because I'm like, yeah, well, okay, well, what did you do? Oh, great, you've tried nothing, you're out of ideas, go try to solve the problem, right? But I think that relates back to AI and the way that we're At risk of reliance on it because people just, oh, it's so smart.

Len LandaleGUEST
It just does the things and they don't do the right diligence and guidance and governance to make sure it's working well and in the role that they're putting it in.

Len LandaleGUEST
And, you know, everyone's always being asked to do more with less and budgets are always shrinking and work never is.

Len LandaleGUEST
So I think the first thing for people to look at, I mean, they need to get educated to Scott's point.

let's move into this third area of a diagnostic that you had offered in the notes you know around this whole doing more with less challenge and if you talk about cost per outcome not cost per headcount could you unpack that a little bit
