Um, the win means that Flyers improved to two and two on the season, heading into Friday night away at the Leicester Riders.

Um, Milos, how has practice been this week ahead of that one? You got excited to go to Leicester for the first time this season?

Yes, we're excited to go over there and, uh, coach mentioned that we haven't won there in two and a half years, so it's definitely, like, we wanna go there a- and win, just plain and simple, win a game there and, uh, break that little curse, whatever you wanna call it.

We are due a win.

So there's clearly talent there, and he's got some nice shooters from long range.

But I think if you're a Leicester Riders fan listening to this, you should feel like, you know what? I, I don't want to say it's a survival season.

Mm.

But you go, "Well, how often are they actually gonna get to u- even though they u- own their own arena, how much are they gonna use it because are they gonna be chasing that external money because they need to balance the books?" And you just hope that we don't get back to the Leicester Riders of the early 2000s when the, the collection buckets go out.

Obviously still no Skyler for Cheshire, but they jumped out to 10-2 lead.

And then they had a six-point play, basically, where Williams hit a three, got fouled, missed a free throw.

I generally think Newcastle fans have got a lot to be excited about on to I suppose the final game that took place today well we recorded this Sunday night was the Phoenix taking on the Leicester Riders Cheshire Phoenix having played London they've played Bristol so there's again teams that lost by 9 to Bristol but they fought back against London they were down big at one point midweek they outscored London by 13 in that last quarter so they were down by 23 at some point so they brought it back in that fourth quarter but for them getting that win over Leicester Riders a dominant first half performance was the real difference maker a lot of comments you've seen already has been that was probably Cheshire Phoenix's best first half where they also scored 55 points

Yeah, I mean, it's so interesting to see.

You can't really take form into account this early in the season because your wins and losses don't mean anything when it's so early.

Fair.

I can't argue with that.

Only played that one game.

The new cup is owned by Kings Dock Sports Group Limited, the sports holding company founded by media executive and sports investor Jason Dolan.

They've had a few pre-season games under their belt as well, most notably defeating Leicester Riders at the weekend at the Mattioli Arena as well.

No way.

I saw some of the clips from that.

Yeah, I think I'm in the same of all of us on that one.
