Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game

uh i've been wanting to get uh legendary dc back to the table uh i just got my copy not too long ago uh played it once solo uh which i'm not a big solo player but i wanted to give it a shot uh i played it once at two player but i want to try to get like a nice group of people going for it sure is it any different than

the marvel legendary deck building game Do you know by chance? Yes

and no.

I feel like I've played Marvel Legendary a few times in the past, like way, way back.

I know the big difference is there are cards that let you transform.

So you have a card that says, let's say, like, Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent, and it'll have an effect, and it'll say, if you meet a requirement, transform this card.

And that's how we got to where we are now.

If we're talking about Markiplier, if you ever want to watch, like, legitimately infuriating deck building content, Watch the episode of Tabletop where Will Whedon invites Markiplier on and they play Marvel Legendary.

He literally like keeps buying like the stock card over and over because he's like, I don't want to play with the cards in the game.

And at first I thought he was doing a bit, but he's just like doesn't understand what's going on the whole game.

Honestly, I might get the Legendary...

I have the first version of Legendary Marvel.

I might get the Legendary Marvel, um, second edition just so I can mix, you know, both games and, and, and do some crazy combos there.

Um, so that's, you know, my only, I don't know if thing that I don't like.

It's just like I would prefer if it was Encounter.

I gotta talk to, um, Patrice about this one and he, see what, what he thinks of it.

Uh, we played Marvel Legendary, which is the card game, deck building card game.

That thing is a blast.

That's a really good time.

The bad version, and again, I'm not trying to degrade a company.

I'm not trying to, but in my opinion, what I don't want to do is Marvel Legendary.

Hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Because while Marvel Legendary is a good game, right, and you get to play with your favorite Marvel characters-

Yeah

... they've just slapped that license on anything.

So right off the bat, um, you know, it's nice in that, like, you've got all the key characters from DC that you expect.

I will say one of the things that's been nice, because they made a 2.0 Marvel Legendary-

They did

... is they put a game mat in the box, and it used to be a board, but now it's a mat, and it's gorgeous art.
