Left Behind

But before we get into that, Andre, tell us a little bit about yourself and where your involvement and why Cloud 10 Pictures decided to do a production on Shadow Government, how the global elite plan to destroy democracy and your freedom.

Cloud 10 is probably best well known for the Left Behind series of movies.

Many people may not recognize Cloud 10 Pictures, but Left Behind, the very well-known book series, very well-known movies starring Kirk Cameron and Lou Gossett Jr. and a number of other names is pretty well known, especially across the U.S. And before we began making feature films going back around 14 years ago, we did a TV series as well as a number of documentaries.

And one of those documentaries was a documentary called Final Warning.

And it was based on a book by Grant Jeffrey.

That's what we're gonna speak about this evening.

There's been so much said about this, and you know what's funny about this? If you're like me, you grew up with all these books, The Late Great Planet Earth, um, Left Behind series, all this stuff about the mark of the beast and what it is, and um...

But really, think about it for a moment.

God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.

That's all I understood, man.

That's all that was out there.

Like I said, the late great planet Earth, the Left Behind series, they're still doing it today.

We're waiting for the next, what they so-call prophet to come out with some illusionary thing again with it, and, uh, want everybody to buy their book for $15.99, right? When the Bible tells them right there, I don't know why they don't, people don't read the Bible.

I think dispensationalists are getting it really bad right now from people.

People are just kind of body slamming them because the Left Behind series and the late great Planet Earth, I think people are feeling done with the hype.

But I think to-- so on one hand, to be fair [chuckles], the, the people who have been teaching hype have been dispensationalists, and they have sold millions upon millions of books.

At the same time, let's be fair on the other side and say not all dispies are talking that way.

We'd never seen this before.

I'm not saying we never saw anything at all resembling it, but we'd never seen that all believers getting raptured before everything goes to pot, right? We hadn't seen that.

And so that started with, with Darby in the 19th century and then really blew up from there and, and of course going into, I said 19th century, yes, and then into the 20th century with a, a couple of really popular books, the bestselling nonfiction book of the 1970s, Hal Lindsey's The Late Great Planet Earth and then the, the Left Behind series as I recall sold even more.

So and so that's what a lot of people are familiar with and it was not, not really systematized like that until the 19th century.

1 Corinthians 15.25 is the biggest verse that convinced me that Christ's kingdom is now, and others like Psalm 2 and 110 emphasize how Christ will win with his kingdom on earth and the nations will be discipled.

All of that to say, I used to be a premillennialist and have a few questions about the Left Behind book series.

Was it written by a solid Christian teacher pastor? Is it accurate to what premillennialists hold to, minus the embellishments, obviously? Would it be good to pick up a copy of it at Goodwill, because I see it all the time there, to know more about premillennialism? Or should we just leave those books behind and make fun of them as inaccurate filth?

Okay, great question.

That was so great.

Okay, eschatology.

Basically, the question is, does left behind accurately represent premillennialism? Okay.

Left Behind, the book series, accurately represents one form of dispensational premillennialism, but there are different forms and different views.

we were a pretty hellfire and brimstone kind of a church.

Um, Very influenced by things like the late great planet Earth or, you know, what eventually became the Left Behind series

and all

that stuff.

Kirk Cameron started acting as a child and is well-remembered for his role as Mike Seaver in TV's Growing Pains.

Later, he starred in the Left Behind series, Monumental, and Fireproof, which became the number one grossing inspirational film of the year.

Kirk partners with Ray Comfort in an evangelistic ministry, The Way of the Master, and he speaks at 30 churches a year as part of the Love Worth Fighting For marriage conference.

On this date, in 2013, Kirk released a hope-bringing documentary called Unstoppable.

Christians, which would have included some Jews.

But unbelievers would have been left behind.

Remember the series Left Behind? That's what this is all about.

After the rapture, everybody after that was considered left behind.

And they're going to go through this great tribulation period where the Antichrist is going to come and he's going to mark people with a 666.

And if you don't go along with the 666, you're going to lose your head.

It was about all this, to scare you to death.

Well, you weren't alive back then.

Okay, then historic premillennialism, that is different from dispensational.

So dispensational is more of the common theology that impacted things like Left Behind and a lot of the 1980s.

There's a secret rapture.
