Lee Tracy

I think he's a lot of fun, but his character is definitely like, he is not as good as other Warner Brothers journalists.

Like he makes Lee Tracy look like fricking Daniel Day-Lewis in terms of characterization and approach.

Um, so yeah, the cops see that there's no body.

Uh, and he even says like, like there, there's nobody else who could have like witnessed that he's left.

It's so funny.

Like, it actually is.

Some of the comedy moments in this movie are genuinely funny, whereas Lee Tracy's slapstick work in Dr. X is a little bit, like, unfair.

It's hit and miss, yep.

It's stupid.

Now, there are new scenes added just before filming, including a scene where the cop gives Lee Tracy a cigar, the trick cigar, and Lee showing off the hand buzzer, which are the two things that I didn't realize would save you in a horror movie until this movie came into my life.

um so now nowadays like in the last couple of years of my life um nowadays i'll just carry around trick cigars and hand buzzers

just go into a joke shop and find out whatever can this might come in handy one day when i might be murdered yeah perfect

Before the curtain rises on today's drama, I want to take just a moment to tell you that next Sunday we shall welcome John Garfield and Andrea Leeds to our Silver Theater.

And stories are already being chosen for such splendid performers as Lee Tracy, Shirley Ross, and many others who've promised to appear on our stage in the very near future.

And now the lights are being dimmed, and the silver curtain is rising on the first act of It May Be Forever, an original drama by True Boardman, starring Loretta Young as Laura Blaine, with John Houston as Eric Manson.

It is New Year's Day, 1937 in Pasadena, scene of the Tournament of Roses.

She's getting out of a bathtub type thing.

One of my favorite character actors, Lee Tracy, plays her press agent and he doesn't stop talking through the whole movie.

Some people have expressed that they actually have trouble with this movie because the dialogue is so fast moving in Firecracker.

I just think it's hysterical.

Yeah.

We'll get to Lee Tracy.

He's in that movie.

We'll get to him in a few weeks when we do.

Nine of them have since come out to Hollywood.

Lee Tracy, Osgood Perkins, Alan Jenkins, Willard Robertson, Joseph Caleria, Dorothy Stickney, George Barbier, Eduardo Cianelli, and Francis Fuller.

A barrel of genius there.

But what can you tell us, Walter, of your two friends who wrote the play, Van Hecht and Charles MacArthur? Hector MacArthur
