Lee Suggs

They're locked up at 10.

Lee Suggs has gone into the house, and the Hokies are up by a touch on the hour.

All right, Reece, I'll see if I can get word to Brad that his cousin's making out okay down in Tallahassee.

Second down and eight.

You look at Miami and the remaining schedule, Virginia Tech is down there at the end of that, and Virginia Tech's had some trouble with Temple for a while, but that Hokies defense keeping the Owls bottled up.

Yeah, I mean, that's the key for them, but you gotta give Temple an awful lot of credit.

I mean, Lee Suggs, you see him there, 39 yards rushing.

I mean, this Virginia Tech team is still a good football team.

And listener Thomas Prenn.

A few fun guys to remember, Kevin Jones and Lee Suggs in the Virginia Tech backfield circa 2001 to 2003.

I grew up a Virginia fan in Charlottesville, but no one could deny the aura of Suggs and Jones.

Great backfield, cool helmets, loved them.

I remember them because the Lions drafted Kevin Jones, and there was a couple of years where I thought he was going to be something, and it didn't happen, but some great calls there from Virginia Tech.

So C.J. Beathard, Trent Green, Kevin Jones and Lee Suggs, we remember you.

And we will be back for our normal Thursday show.

We're going to preview week five.

Vernon Todd, Michael Vick, two years ago, lost to Temple 28-24.

Here, Lee Suggs takes it in after a blocked punt by Wade Ward.

Remember, guys, Virginia Tech is a very big fan of the Hurricanes today.

They're up right now 7-0 over Temple.

Here is Tim

Brando.

All right, Vern, Michael Vick wasn't there a couple of years ago when they lost to Temple, but you know what? He is now, and why not hand off to Lee Suggs? Eight touchdowns in his last three games.

He's second in scoring in the country, Lee Suggs, and they're up by two touchdowns over Temple.

The record's 403, it's held by Joey Sly.

And then you got Shane Graham at 371, Lee Suggs at 336.

Wow, that's crazy.

Lee Suggs with 336, Brandon Pace with 310, and then Carter Worley with 307.

So, I mean, hopefully in the next couple of weeks he's sitting pretty in the top, in the top four, but, um, h- here's what I'll say about John Love, man.

I-- John Love has been such a great kicker and hasn't really had an opportunity to make like a big, a big kick that ends with a W, but he has kicked important field goals.
