You know what? Like Jamie said, the, uh, Limerick boxing, Limerick city itself always supports its own, and Lee is one of our own, and now seeing him like that is, is really sad to see.

He was bitterly, bitterly disappointed, as was his team, as was Ian Gochran.
I
26:48IanHOST
that's understandable so who knows what's going to happen in the future jay jay bourne and jb promotions and their matchmaking team certainly haven't got a massive amount in around that weight so maybe we could who knows but that's for those guys to deal with and what a job they're doing right now as well before i close this episode down i want to again remind people if you can at all please like share and subscribe i would ask you to leave a comment i would give you a click the follow button whether it's on spotify whether it's on itunes whether it's on iheart radio anywhere like that please i would ask you if just do it that's the only one thing i would ask if you can at all spare a second or a Now I guess the not so fun part of boxing is the danger, is the very real jeopardy with every training session, every sparring session, every fight indeed that comes and I harp back of course I go back to our friend, our fallen comrade.
I

Lee Reeves who 60 days ago since he battled Gary Cully in an epic encounter in my book it's fight of the year already but it's irrelevant really to be honest with you boxing is irrelevant what really matters now is Lee's grave battle for life and make no mistake about it it is a battle.

L
17:31Luke LiddyCORRESPONDENT
Yeah absolutely brilliant and I know that this it was a very tough event to get over the line with insurance purposes and all that so I know a lot of work has gone on behind the scenes to get this show over the line up and running I know that they're looking for sponsors for fights they're looking for donations obviously for people to come out buy tickets and support the event as well we'll hear from Sean Kelly of Treaty Boxing Club in the Saturday morning sport tomorrow to get a bit more detail on the event but look All in aid of Lee Reeves, who everyone in Limerick, including obviously the boxing community, continues to think about daily in his recovery, obviously from that horrendous injury.
L
18:09Luke LiddyCORRESPONDENT
And look, it is in aid of Lee.
L
18:12Luke LiddyCORRESPONDENT
Lee would be the first man to always help out.
L
18:15Luke LiddyCORRESPONDENT
anyone who needs help in Limerick you could pick up the phone to Lee say this family here are struggling with this this person's struggling with this and he'd he would never say no to you he was very good at looking after people in Limerick obviously everyone knows that in his charitable endeavors so look I think that it's only fit and right that people come out and support Lee Reeves is a really great guy and look we're just wishing him all the very best in his recovery.
