Yeah.
Sam GriffinHOST
15:13
someone who I really like is Josh Stokes as well obviously had has had a couple of loan spells in League One now with Stockport and Cambridge and I think this is sort of the club that he will thrive at in terms of the way they play give him the best possible they just suit his play like ability basically in terms of he's very good on the ball and he's off the ball work did need work and Liam Richardson seems to have got that drilled into him as well he's created the joint most big chances for Reading as well with four And it is interesting you mentioned Lewis Wing because he seems to be playing in a different role this year.
Sam GriffinHOST
15:46
He's a bit deeper, dictates the game a little bit more, but it doesn't give him as much opportunity to get forward.
Sam GriffinHOST
15:53
But it seems to be working for him at the end of the day.
IanPANELIST
9:44
Like you say, they wanted to see if Marriott was fit.
IanPANELIST
9:46
And now Liam Richardson's put his team out saying that Murray is fit.
IanPANELIST
9:51
Then they know what threats they've got coming from them.
IanPANELIST
9:53
So do they risk putting in Beidou and Boateng instead or bringing them on as a super sub to try them? But also, I just think maybe Argyle just want to silence it a minute and just stop getting this rumour mills going with the teams early on.

What the EFL? It's the Football League podcast that always puts it into the top corner, then runs like...

Simon WattsGUEST
20:38
But, you know, we are talking about a massive football club here and it's a big job.
Simon WattsGUEST
20:43
And like you say, an attractive job.
Simon WattsGUEST
20:45
I'm just looking at some of the other managers in the running and I'm not saying that there is any possibility of, for instance, Sean Dyche taking that job.
Simon WattsGUEST
20:52
One of the other managers linked with it.
Ben ThomasHOST

A horrifying trip to inform Plymouth awaits.
Ben ThomasHOST
0:39
With monsters like Lizby, Doakes and O'Connor in the side, Liam's team is capable of scaring anyone in this league.
Ben ThomasHOST
0:47
Welcome to episode 478 of the Tile SM podcast with me, beastly Ben Thomas, and him, rotten Ross Webber.
Ross WebberHOST

Well, hang on a minute.

Ben ThomasHOST
20:41
Someone pointed out earlier today that our home form was good.
Ben ThomasHOST
20:45
I think we only lost once.
Ben ThomasHOST
20:46
I think they pointed out that we only lost once in 13 games under Liam Richardson at home.
Ben ThomasHOST
20:52
But I still feel we had to dig in and get the results.
Paul ThorpeHOST
25:57
I think the treatment of Andy Woodman strikes me very much.
Paul ThorpeHOST
26:01
Sean Maloney, Liam Richardson.
Paul ThorpeHOST
26:02
Decent seasons, decent service to the club.
Paul ThorpeHOST
26:05
go through a sticky patch and it's like panic and pull the plug.
Max RushdenHOST
41:05
Nothing happens in their football matches.
George ElekPANELIST
41:08
and this is also but it's not a you know this was the case last season the success was built on a really strong defensive record as was their promotion out of League 2 prior to that Reading looked very strong under Liam Richardson with some very good attacking players Kyrie Slisby in particular really impressive so you know it's still all to play for and I wouldn't buy any stretch rule anyone out Plymouth Argyle fall into that category too but right now you know Huddersfield and Stockport look to me to be the two teams where if you finish above them surely you're getting automatic promotion
Max RushdenHOST
41:35
At the bottom, Wigan have seven points, Barnsley eight, Bromley nine, Peterborough ten, and just at the relegation zone, Blackpool, Notts County on 11.
Max RushdenHOST
41:43
How's the Robbie Savage-Peterborough experiment going, Ali? I mean, I have seen Dale Vince and Darren McCartney going at each other on Twitter.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
35:16
They sit fifth place in the table, 21 points from their opening 12 games in what is a very tight race, shaping up to be anyway for promotion.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
35:24
Reading manager Liam Richardson was very honest with his post-game thoughts.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
35:28
He called the game versus Barnsley one of two halves.
Liam RichardsonSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
35:31
First half, not acceptable, really, in many elements, and that's the players' words.
Ben ThomasHOST
23:02
But like, it blew my mind a little bit.
Ben ThomasHOST
23:04
So, Andy Runamoto was booked on the 23rd minute, right? Difficult, difficult time, any time for a centre midfielder who puts tackles in to be booked then, let alone have to play what? you know 60 odd minutes or whatever for the rest of the game if you're playing the whole night need to not get a second yellow Scott Hogan scored on the 71st minute right Liam Richardson then took Andy Rinomoto off on the 77th minute and put Charlie Savage on now initially if you look at that stat straight away without looking at the time as you're thinking oh Rinomoto's been booked you know playing sensible but he played 50 minutes on a yellow card before he was taken off So what is the thinking there in terms of taking off Andy Rinomoto to put on Charlie Savage to leave Lewis Wing on at that time after they just scored? And there's still 20 minutes to play or whatever.
Ben ThomasHOST
23:58
What's the thinking behind that? Because that doesn't make sense to me.
Ross WebberHOST
24:02
Well, yeah.
Ali MaxwellHOST
30:58
or
George ElekHOST
30:58
Walsh or Burrows and Reading you know still missing Jack Marriott you'd think because they were pretty wasteful in front of goal but you know it was a pretty bad result but not necessarily the worst performance from Liam Richardson's Reading 17 shots 6 on target so you know probably had the lion's share of extra as well but yeah Liam Richardson's return to Wigan not a happy one
Ali MaxwellHOST
31:20
and a couple of draws Peterborough 2 Burton 2 great assist from Harry Leonard for Edwards to put Posh ahead early on but Webster equalised cancelled it out with a deflected shot for Burton Dennis went close a couple of times for Albion as well but in the 89th minute Bem Arubi stepped onto the ball on halfway and he walked so that Diego Gomez of Brighton could run.
Ali MaxwellHOST
31:45
He unleashed from way downtown the perfect trajectory over Alex Bass, who Robbie Savage, unusually for a manager, said, I actually thought Bassie's starting position was fine.
TomPANELIST
7:15
He's not going to win the next two home games and immediately we're fixed, right? So if you want to sack him, sack him now and bring someone in.
TomPANELIST
7:24
Who that is... is just going to come into the exact same mess that Alex Bruce has left, that Matt Hampshire has left, that Steve Evans has left, that Liam Richardson has left, that Matt Taylor has left.
TomPANELIST
7:35
The next person who comes in is going to walk into the building with the exact same team, the exact same mentality, the exact same board above him, with less backroom staff.
TomPANELIST
7:48
They're going to walk into the exact same mess.
