I think Aussie drama returning to our screen is a phenomenal move and one I think that the audience is going to be keen for.

But we've also got great new shows like High Country, a return for Leah Purcell to her role as Sergeant Andy in the Victorian High Country, solving murders and learning more about her Indigenous heritage.

That's phenomenal.

That's on binge and airing right now.

You know, you spend a lot of that first episode of season two putting all the pieces together.

I mean, I remembered Leah Purcell's character, that she's a detective.

I knew that in the... closing minutes of season one Sam Dyson who was an older cop that she used to work with he told her that he was her father that's the part I remembered I'd kind of forgotten that she had a teenage daughter and had been in this relationship with Sarah Wiseman so I kind of got that together but once we go into a new series of course we're into a brand new murder and a new investigation.

I really love the scenery of the first series of High Country, which was literally in the high country.

Yeah, that's right.

Well, I remember that, yeah.

And I think Leah Purcell's partner, played by Sarah Weissman, she went to live there with the daughter because I think she fell out with Leah Purcell, didn't she, in that first season? Yes, yeah.

And you could tell that Linda Cropper and that whole farm, there was something not quite right about it.

They announced that the second season of High Country, this one's called High Country What Lies Beneath, has started airing on Binge, and it's brilliant.

Lea Purcell is phenomenal.

Brendan Cowell's in it.

So that's two Brendan Cowell shows in the past month or so that you need to be watching.

Ryan Corr's in it.

A brilliant cast.

It continues on from where we left Lea Purcell's Andy, a sergeant in the Victorian police force living in the Victorian high country, learning more about herself, solving murders, doing a whole bunch of stuff.

It involves swingers parties on boats.

[RED] launched with three presenters.

They were Leah Purcell, who would become an accomplished actor, writer, and novelist, including in the groundbreaking Redfern Now.

But in the mid-'90s she was a teenager who got a gig to host music on this tiny new channel.

Another was Toni Pearen, who we all had a crush on from E Street.

And quickly, High Country.

The first season of High Country, Binge, Make This, they commissioned it to an Australian TV show, gave us, again, another tour de force performance from Leah Purcell as an Indigenous First Nations cop who goes back to, like, the Victorian high country where she kind of grew up to help solve a crime.

She lands in the job as a promotion and is engaged in this, you know, intricate local community people keep dying scenario.

In that process, she learns a bit of her heritage and who she is, as in it was a surprise to her.

And there's obviously a bit of friction between her and Gideon.

And Gideon doesn't help when he first turns up and he's kind of going, I want her off my land, etc.
