Lay of the Autumn

That is Gaia's Judgment by Heaven's Cry from the Food for Thought's Substitute album, and we're gonna dive right into the next one.

We're gonna hear from Insomnium, yeah, going back to their Candlelight record of 2009 called Across the Dark, and we're gonna hear a song about autumn called Lay of the Autumn, and that'll take us pretty close to our album of the week.

So let's stay tuned, and let's finish this segment off on a darker note.

Insomnium with Lay of the Autumn right here on Meguid Mayhem.

[rock music] I, I speak with a shattered voice.

I, I sink through the heavy ice.

Without a father's bliss-

bliss-For ideas, for others turn away your glance No fury as we pray, we shall do the right thing And turn to where we belong I was here with shattered voice The tale of barren souls The cry for those who died The peaceful never gone I, I seek with a trapped voice I, I seek with a heavy heart The light of day that dark will break Gray will cover this hate The truth will weigh it down Like this ocean cries Glassy bridges, rocks and fall Like birds of darling dreams We smile the hollow goddess down To the hills that freeze I was here with shattered voice The tale of barren souls The cry for those who died The peaceful never gone I was here with shattered voice The tale of barren souls The cry for those who died The peaceful never gone There was once a time We lacked wisdom and why you're blind There was once a time We lacked the mark under your eyes What do I have when you're gone? The wind, our only guide What do I have when you're gone? The signs of the line between Gold, dreams in silver clouds left Your love in a snow Blade of guilt weighs Stuck between death and demise In the darkest time All the world is ours to borrow Drown in its waves What do I hear when you're gone?
