Yes, it is absolutely in keeping with the Rialto stripes in that people have been describing these folks as, quote, tactical urbanists who are basically taking the streetscape into their own hands.

This just actually was something that I noticed when I was driving through Lawrenceville.

I saw some crosswalks that looked unusual and I took a closer glance at them and I noticed that they seemed to have been spray painted.

They were a little bit smaller than the typical city crosswalks, which are the piano key crosswalks.

People think it's a chain, but it's actually locally owned by an immigrant from Jordan.

And this is like the classic late night frites.

One of my favorite places is Cold Friends Kitchen at New Amsterdam.

So New Amsterdam, the great Lawrenceville bar, a couple years ago hired Cold Friends Kitchen to do their food program there.

They also run a food truck on the south side.

And what tends to happen if you don't do regular reassessments is that property values get really out of whack, right? So think about, like, the different neighborhoods in Pittsburgh and how they've changed since 2012.

Think about Lawrenceville, right?

That's the big one.

Everyone's been talking about Lawrenceville because, like, I mean, you could buy a row house back then for, like, 150K.

Right.

That's, that's not a thing anymore.

And because those property values have gone up so much based on the market, what you have happen is that the reassessments have not kept up with it.

The actual valuation that the county uses to calculate property taxes is falling way, way behind.
