It will come down to if the Moreton Bay Council starts rowing putting the course at Lawnton together, then hopefully they'll be at a point where they can just flick a switch, chuck in some extra dollars and make it to the Olympic standard.

Otherwise, it will be in Sydney.

And again, as a Queenslander, as someone who I got so excited when we got given the Olympics, it astounds me that that the government is playing us for fools by setting something up, not having a plan, not having any clue, not having any costings.

I'm sceptical that that's going to happen.

I think it's going to be everything I've heard from the day it got announced in Rockhampton out of very senior people at Rowing Australia is why are we not having this in Sydney?

I think the only thing that could potentially, what could potentially save it for Brisbane and save it for Lawnton is that they're talking about big development going on.

Like it's a massive growth area around Lawnton and talking about building up, you know, selling lands as part of the rehabilitation of that whole site.

Yeah, and that's probably pushing into the millions, right? Like it's not, you know, 9.50.

But if you're sort of talking that real under a million dollars, you're sort of looking kind of, you know, into the greater North, like, you know, your Strathpines, Warner, Lawnton, Bray Park.

I'm getting nosebleeds going on there.

Yeah, and again, is that technically Brisbane?

Great, okay? And then we look at Lawnton.

So are you confident in every, so the athletes would stay presumably just in Brisbane or in whatever accommodation or the village?

They underestimate us, those foreigners and those people from the southern states.

He'll refuse to put money into the Lawnton facility or any other Queensland facility.

They'll flood Rockhampton with cash anyway and give them the same amount of money on other stuff.
