Lavenham

I mean, it's interesting to see trees in their natural habitat, so to speak, but it's also interesting to see what uses wood has been put to.

So one of the places that I said we needed to stop at was Lavenham because it's a village or small town.

I don't quite know what it is.

that's got hundreds of timber frame buildings so it's all of these little cottages that are made of of wooden frames filled in with um wattle and daub which again a lot of that all the wattle is made from wood as well then the daub is like mud basically We won't go into Dorb at the moment.

Facilities for tradesmen.

Due to the burgeoning amount of tradesmen found in Lavenham, would it not be a good idea to have builders' merchants constructed in the village, possibly on the market square? Not only would it save on fuel costs for those industrious artisans, thus saving the planet, it would prove more efficient and cost-effective to the customer.

And the additional suggestion is for a premier inn to be considered, so tradesmen could remain on call 24-7 within the historic village.

Sometimes it's just one building that attracts the movie makers, like the riverside Ramsholt Arms in Woodbridge that featured in Danny Boyle's film Yesterday.

or the Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds, a perfect choice for the David Copperfield film made by Armando Iannucci because Dickens himself loved to stay at the coaching inn.

Newmarket Racecourse appeared in Netflix series The Crown and the pastel coloured cottages of Lavenham in some Harry Potter scenes.

This is a little bit like Lavenham, isn't it? I don't think.

Lavenham is an old walled town, medieval walled town.

So apart from one house that's got Georgian facade, it's been left as it was because the money ran out in Lavenham.

So it was a very wealthy area.
