Lauren Watkins

What's going on, guys and girls? Welcome back to another episode of Outside the Round with me, Matt Burrill.

Today, a very special guest, a girl who's been on a damn rocket ship, just hit her first week of touring out on the road with the If I'm Being Honest tour with our girl Lauren Watkins.

It is Miss Jordan Kav.

Hey!

As soon as I touched down back in Nashville, I was like, I don't have to wear a sweatshirt.

This is great.

How has the friendship with our good friend Lauren Watkins been? It

was crazy.

Welcome to Teal's Roadhouse.

Special guest in the house, Ms. Lauren Watkins is here with us today.

So good to see you again.

So great to see you.

Laurenwatkins.com I'm sure.

Yep.

Lauren Watkins.

Yeah.

And Drew Baldrige did.

I don't know that Lauren Watkins did, but I could be misremembering that.

And you can tell me

one song, but I don't remember.

So I was staying warm that way, but it was a little cool with me just sitting there in between sets.

Right.

But yeah, I thought Ray Lynn was, she, she seemed a little off, uh, on her pitch and melody to start and i think as she got her voice warmed up she got there right i think it sounded better at the end i would say the same for lauren watkins she was great um but it seemed like it took her a little while to get warmed up too i don't know what did you think about lauren watkins

she was all right i mean i didn't not particularly enjoy the openers but okay

Like I really look up to her.

I love Lauren Watkins.

I've known her family since high school and they're another Nashville family that decided to go into music and worked really hard and a sister kind of duo of songwriting and now the artist.

And so lauren's incredible she's so sweet i've seen her at the listening room here in nashville a few times and you know she always makes a point to say hi and they're just such an incredible down-to-earth family and i think she would crush a show they're headlining and i mean that would be an absolute dream there's so many people that i can think of i love 49 winchester they're kind of a band that i found when i was in college like the past couple years, and I've seen them four times now, whether it was the Beach Bar in New Jersey, the Ryman, the Opry, or like an outdoor venue in Austin, Texas, because I go to Austin probably every month, every couple months if I can.

This is Married to the Music, the stories behind the artists you know, told by the partners who live it every day.

And today we have a very special episode because we have on Lauren Watkins, who is an artist herself, and she is married to Will Bundy, who is a critically acclaimed songwriter here in Nashville.

I can't wait for you guys to hear this story of how they met, how they've worked together, how he actually produced her recent album that is coming out today.

So make sure you go check that out.

But if you follow me on Instagram, every time something comes out that they tag me on that I played on six months ago or whenever, that stuff comes out.

I mean, there's all kinds of new artists, uh, Lauren Watkins, uh, oh man, uh, what, uh, some of the new, uh, Cole Swindell stuff, uh, been working with this producer, Will Bundy that he's cool.

Um, uh, you know, uh, Jay Joyce, uh, stuff, uh, Dan Huff, you know, some of those producers, uh, tend to hire me a fair enough amount that whatever they're working on is, is

what's, you know, I, I, you know, put up there on the socials and all that.
