So that's just a very brief, and probably not so brief, overview of the book, and I'm gonna pass it on to Laura now.

Thank you, Sharon, and, and thank you, everybody.
13:21
Echo, uh, Sharon's thanks to everyone, especially the Mandel Center, for their long support of this project.
13:26
You know, for me, coming into this project, I was really oriented in my own academic situatedness in the study of lived religion, right? Which, in a nutshell, acknowledges that people enact their religious selves and create their religious lives in spaces that extend, that are both within and also beyond religious institutions.
13:46
And I think this has been well-chronicled, right, in many aspects of religious life, but not so much the study of how people learn about their religious identities.
13:55
And so this study really began as a sort of somewhat audacious experiment to say, "Well, what would it look like to take these kinds of learning activities seriously?" And this kind of learning is, is different to the learning that happens in instructors that have clearly defined pedagogical goals associated with them.
14:12
Those spaces are important, too.
