conversations and there was one post after another criticizing the commentary of Mary Carrillo and Laura Robson in regards to this match and I was so curious to see what was so bad about this commentary that I watched the entire match listening to the commentary in this one and I think some of the criticism is deserved and some of the criticism is not fair so let me fill you in on what was discussed in this match so Osaka had an up and down match she won the first set was up a break in a second and then she started displaying some negative body language ended up losing the second set after Osaka lost the second set there was a little bit of a break and it is here where Mary Carrillo started to discuss Naomi Osaka's mental health issues and I certainly think that discussing Naomi Osaka's mental health issues is not cool this was a long time ago and it's time to move on and I think the risk that Mary Carrillo runs into is confusing mental health issues with regular tennis issues that every single tennis player has to deal with and i'm not saying that mary carrillo insinuated this she didn't say that naomi osaka lost the second set because of mental health issues but a lot of people on threads have made that connection and i don't blame them for making that connection because again it was very unnecessary to talk about naomi osaka's past mental health issues after she had lost the set.
