It's Nell from Michigan, and I'm going to trust my CC fam to ask, or maybe answer, all the questions that keep coming up from the Lindsay Clancy case.

Because we had some breaking news in another case you touched on a while back that I've been following closely for years, Laura Owens.

Last week, she surprised us all by taking the plea deal in her criminal trial, admitting guilt on four of the 14 felony charges.

I'd love to hear any of your thoughts on this and also how you think this may or may not impact her tendency to abuse the legal system to get her way in everything from Uber lawsuits to getting DABROs against guys who won't date her to suing content creators for covering her case.

I know she can file lawsuits from anywhere, even if she does end up going to jail.

But will she at least lose some credibility so judges stop falling for her pity me act, especially since one of the charges she admitted to was perjury? I'd love to hear your thoughts on anything you know about Laura Owens.

It was just a lot of busy work, a lot of busy work for work, a lot of busy work for personal stuff, just a lot of running around.

But the most exciting thing that happened this week to me is that the new episode of Love Trap dropped about the Laura Owens case, Owens versus Eckerd.

um or eckardt versus owens i think because in the in the civil side it was him who brought the case against her but it turned into a criminal case from the civil side because she lied so much in the civil court which was really interesting so i'm going to give you a little background on this because i assume you're not into this case

you saw my eyes just go yeah you're not watching the video like my eyes blazed over a little bit because i was like what is she even talking about no i have no idea what you're talking about

So I'll give you the background background first.

So her name is Laura Owens.

She is daughter of a famous local Bay Area newscaster, Ron Owens.

And she has over the last, I think like eight years or so, she has claimed to be pregnant with the child of multiple men and she never was pregnant.

Keeping in mind, his show was in 2022, and by the time it's, you know, after that, he's very, very famous.

We then have the 34-year-old Laura Owens.

Now, she is the daughter of a pretty famous radio host in the US, a guy named Ron Owens.

Laura and Clayton crossed paths, Zara, because Clayton's a real estate agent and Laura wanted a real estate agent because she supposedly wanted to buy an investment property.

Laura went to really great efforts to try and convince him that she was pregnant with his children.

Mm.

As per local law enforcement, investigators found that between May 2023 and June 2024, Laura Owens altered an ultrasound image, fabricated a pregnancy video, and lied multiple times under oath.

Yeah.

so this has been in the news on a back burner and here locally quite a bit, actually.

And what it appears to be, Laura Owens, the son of radio great.

KGO 810 host, midday host.

He was, I believe, there for 40 years.

I liked him.

He's since moved to Arizona and so has his daughter.

But the story is Laura Owens, the daughter of Bay Area radio icon Ron Owens, pled guilty last week in a fraud case that became national because she accused former Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd.

And a second man of getting her pregnant.
