And so I really would love you to talk a little bit about how you see that for people like me, right? The role that story can play and all of our listeners, like what role that can play for them and any of the other work that you're creating that supports that.
9:15
Yeah.
9:16
Having been a strategist and storyteller on the business side of things for so long, it was only around that point in my career when I was at that climactic point in my personal transformation journey that I started doing more and more work in purpose storytelling for founders.
9:37
So understanding the context for the work that they were doing and the kind of building momentum up towards the purpose of their work and then the following action of like, how do they achieve that purpose? So using a story arc to bring people into a brand, bring people into even a product.
9:58
The story arc is so important because it frames marketing products, innovations around real human experience.
10:09
But only after I went through my transformation journey and because I had spent my whole life really containing my own story, I never felt like I was a protagonist in my own life.
10:21
I lived in service to other people.

and

Check it out.
13:38
I think that's where the idea of matriarchy came into play for me.
13:42
I think there's leadership in the world that is very power focused and we obviously live in a patriarchy.
13:48
So it's so fascinating to explore your work and what you're doing and finding that synergy with leadership because matriarchy takes a different approach.
13:57
And I think that's where it's so interesting to think about the motherhood advantage as we think about who we are as leaders.
14:05
In our home life or in our work life.
14:07
And that's where the idea of care, not just in the moment, but how can I set you up for success? What can I do to help you and nurture your growth and where you go from here and thinking more community minded in terms of motherhood?
1:24
But first, where did your love of stories, storytelling, branding, marketing kind of come from?
1:30
It's interesting.
1:30
I feel like it came out of thin air in a way.
1:32
I never knew what I wanted to do when I grew up.
1:35
I just sort of found myself in jobs more out of necessity and my background really spans the entire sales marketing spectrum.
1:42
But I was always the person that loved putting the deck together.
1:46
I loved telling the story that needed to be told, whether it was a pitch or whether it was a report.

I was thinking, is that a real fundamental thing? It's just the idea of not having that understanding of what it is like to empathize with somebody, walk in someone's shoes.
