Laura Karpman

So good.

Oh, the music is by Laura Karpman, which she's done a bunch of Marvel music.

Good for her.

Oh, yeah.

But finally, very excited to share with you our East of Eden special.

Uh, first, showrunner Zoe Kazan and actor and producer Florence Pugh join us before we share with you the fabulous composer Laura Karpman to discuss her score.

So it's based on the novel by John Steinbeck, and it sees successive generations of two families in California destined to reenact the fateful story of Cain and Abel.

It is streaming now on Netflix.

The performances are extraordinary, particularly Florence Pugh, who is just magnificent.

Absolutely magnificent.

Now, as I mentioned earlier, East of Eden is scored by Laura Karpman, who we're gonna hear from after Zoe and Florence, but we'll begin with her title cue.

[instrumental music] I love, love, love this show so much.

Like-

Well, Laura Karpman did the music.

Yeah.

And there are moments where I'll just be kinda like, "This is pretty good."
