He looks like he's getting tired, and last night he told Laura Ingraham and he told the crowd, kind of tired of politics at this point.

Yeah, tired of politics, and he was asked even more bluntly about, like, whether he'd work as hard as ever before, and his answer was no.

A reporter starts asking very reasonable questions about Donald Trump's promised $5,000 checks, and it gets very ugly as Trump lashes out.

And Laura Ingraham asks really an even simpler question about those $5,000 checks, and Trump's answer involves a completely fictional $21 trillion tariff revenue scheme.

Meanwhile, the trade war with Canada escalates, something we really never see between close allies.

Outright import bans are now being discussed.

Republicans control the Senate.

Why do we need to go beyond the election for the, uh, the war to finally end?" Nobody knows.

And we'll get, in a moment, to Laura Ingraham also going, "By the way, why can't you just give people the five grand now?" And Trump has an explanation which, by the way, is completely incoherent.

Trump asked, "Could this war actually not end right after the election and instead last the duration of your term?" And Trump goes, "Oh, no, no, no.

Um, the Senate and the House are both Republican majority right now.

So why doesn't he do it? As a matter of fact, he was asked that by Laura Ingraham, uh, "Well, why don't you do it now? What are you waiting for?" Uh, but I think that, um, uh, before I play that for you, I think that it is, um, uh, people put this up.

I thought this was absolutely the best commentary.

There's not any of these, uh, groups that are any good.

But, you know, I thought it was an interesting question that, uh, Laura Ingraham brought up of them, and, uh, she said, um- Well, why don't you do it now? You know, you've got the Republicans are in charge of the Senate and the House.

Why don't you do it? "Oh, well, we don't have enough." Well, that'll be the excuse afterwards, won't it? And so he's hoping, uh, this is a headline from AP News, hopes to, uh, salvage the midterms, making a dubious pledge.

I will suck you silly.

Like, okay, what the fuck is that? So Laura Ingraham does an interview with Trump afterwards.

And she says, why not just give the money? If you have it, why not just give it now? And then here's Trump's reaction.

Ready for this? Try to make sense of this.

What do you mean the Democrats can't do it? What does that mean? And to say with Democrats it's negative growth, I don't know what that means.

What are you saying? In other words, you got caught speeding, you don't know what the fuck to say, so you vomited out some nonsense that's barely going to fool anybody.

When even Laura Ingraham is like, okay, if you have it, why not just do it? And by the way, he doesn't have it.

It would come out to like nearly $1.5 trillion.

That estimated price tag is at least $1.3 trillion, and it would require congressional approval, of course.

Even Laura Ingraham pressed Trump on that announcement.

Why not just give the money now? If you have the money, why not give it now? Because they can't.

I'll tell you what.

Folks, as a Democrat, I do this because what MS now thinks of this is really irrelevant.

The question is, what do Fox viewers think of the convention and everything? Jesse Waters, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, they were all asking guests like, hey, you know, are we trying to buy votes? Are we trying to? And you could tell they were not cheerleaders.

They were concerned citizens, let's say.

So, Sean, it sure feels like this was half-baked and not thought out and not It stepped on the day.

I go on and on about how they feed him bad polling and bad information.

On Laura Ingraham last night, he made the statement, well, the young men are not really against me.

They're actually with me, and they're going to turn out because they support the war in Iran, and they support going after the nuclear weapons.

I just don't think that's a fact.

Hillary Clinton says that Trump is pushing socialism for the rich.

Laura Ingraham asked the president, why not just give the money now? Because the Democrats can't do it.

Because for them, it's negative growth.

With us, it's so positive.

The Senate and the House are both Republican majority right now.

So why doesn't he do it? As a matter of fact, he was asked that by Laura Ingraham.
