But this is unfortunately not the end of the friction between William Weber and the Lutzes.

So the Lutzes have been out of the spotlight for a few weeks and at this point a reporter from Channel 5 News named Laura DiDio.

She tracks them down and asks if they're willing to speak to her about the story and they do.

They decide to meet up with her.

She says, if they were making all of this up, I'm telling you they were the Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro of their day.

So, like, really talented actors.

It's also in that conversation with this reporter, Laura DiDio, that the Lutzes agree to a deal with Channel 5 News to have an exclusive investigation conducted by their journalists and camera crew.

That same week, two young reporters for WNEW-TV named Laura DiDio and Marvin Scott tracked down the Lutzes through property records and got their permission to hold a seance in the house.

And this is where Ed and Lorraine Warren enter the story.
