Launderette

I know he does have a live band that's out performing right now.

Before that, I went back to the early '80s and the single Launderette from writer, uh, broadcaster, musician Vivian Goldman.

A track said to have been recorded during, uh, Public Image Ltd.'s The Flowers of Romance sessions.

And this comes from a collection that came out in 2016 called Resolutionary that, uh, offers a snapshot of, uh, Goldman's first three musical endeavors, first as a member of The Flying Lizards, then as a solo artist with the release of this Launderette single, and then as part of the duo Chantage.

And, uh, Goldman's list of collaborators reads as a veritable who's who from that, uh, highly creative, uh, late '70s, early '80s era of UK post-punk that was bringing in dub reggae and other experimental influences.

And I was reminded of that era and those sounds when listening to the new album called Hello World from the French band Context who played a track from before Vivian Goldman.
