Lathan Ransom

Lathan Ransom was a guy who was one of the highest graded players defensively and only played about 10 snaps on Sunday.

How much more involved is he? Zakee Wheatley as well.

All things that got to be figured out.

Zakee Wheatley does look really good.

They have Lathan Ransom as well.

I'm not saying K'Lavon Chaisson wouldn't be better than all of them, 'cause I think that he would.

I think he'd be the best safety on the team.

I have J.C. Horn.

And I have Lathan Ransom.

So stay on me to get these out.

And I will be getting these out over the next couple of days.

But he's clearly starting with Chud Morick playing more of that box role.

Lathan Ransom and Tyke Wheatley, the two safeties, they are the backups right now.

On the edge, Patrick Jones and Prince Lee Mammillian, we expect them to be in a rotation across from Jalen Phillips.

when you look up and Lathan Ransom decided to come back and Caleb Downs transferred in, what, what did you feel about that? Did it just grow stronger in that one-week span, two-week span? You understand what I'm saying?

I feel that.

Knowing those guys have played at that, that, the level those guys have played at.

And like a lot of teams get talent, but for whatever reason you guys seem to devel- develop the receivers better than, than anyone.

What, what goes on out there that somehow helps Ohio State keep placing guys in the NFL?

We play Denzel, uh, Davidson, Ibenoson, Jermaine Matthews, Jordan Hancock, Lathan Ransom, Caleb Downs.

That's really what it is.

Uh, Trey Merrig, Nick Scott, Lathan Ransom, Zaquie Wheatley, and then Isaiah Simmons.

Um, I think that Isaiah Simmons has earned his spot.

I love his versatility in the back end of that defense.

Get him a little bit more space.

I like him.

I love Lathan Ransom's physicality, man.

I think that he is going to be an integral part to this defense.

They have Marig back, they have Nick Scott back at safety, Lathan Ransom, hard-hitting safety, he's back there still, Mike Jack, JC of course, but yeah, Will Lee is kind of the guy who could potentially open up some things for them, uh, defensively this season if he's able to, you know, hold it down on the outside.

Yeah, so and, and, and, and for Houston, who they just added Butted, they just added Zay Jones, Sterling Shepherd, like there's been some additions in their wide receiver room.

And I also wanna throw in the tight end bunch as well, 'cause Devin Lloyd is a hell of a linebacker in coverage.

He is somebody they really need to get ready to go for this upcoming season so they can have the flexibility to play JC in the slot.

So I will be certainly looking at Will Lee and how he performs against the Texans' wide receivers, along with Jason Horne, Mike Jackson, Javon Merritt, Lathan Ransom, Nick Scott, and the rest of the Panthers' secondary on Wednesday.
