That's very intriguing because my father, as you know, was an architect who went to the same school we did, McGill, graduated in 1948.

And I think even in his last days, when I talked to him about his education at McGill, the thing that he talked about with the most pleasure was the drawing exercise for that gordon weber assigned to him gordon weber being an instructor at mcgill who had been a pupil of moholy-nagy who was a master at the bauhaus and he described the exercise of arranging lines and circles on a piece of paper and having to do so thirty-two times and being unable to stop marvelling at the endless but difficult decisions necessary to make something that looked right, if you ever did get to that final destination.
