Last Mountain Lake

So as I said, this is the math.

This is Mother Nature doing the math on all of these relationships that go all the way from a chironomid larvae all the way up to these super jumbos walleyes that are in the Great Lakes, are lakes like Lake of the Woods, are lakes here on the prairies like Last Mountain Lake and Echo Lake where I live.

It's vitally important to have that relationship.

Or if the walleyes have a problem with the perch being available to them, They start losing the battle.

I think almost every North American lake is like this.

I've shared it with you before on the lake that I used to guide on, Last Mountain Lake.

I still guide there, but it's my favorite lake.

Where exactly are you at right now? And what is your last 24, 48 hours or last week been?

um so i'm at last mountain lake in saskatchewan um we're up here for the uh last mountain i think it's like their fall walleye classic tournament um Basically, like the last week or so, you know, since Sakakawea, I took a little time, went home, spent some time at home for a few days, went up to North Wisconsin over the weekend for Labor Day and, you know, spent some time with my kids up there and then basically turned and burned right up here, spent, you know, whatever, 15, 16 hours in the truck to get up here and was greeted with, uh, wind, rain, 50 degree weather.

I'm, you know, bundled up.

I'm in my buddy's garage right now.

Have you fished this tournament before the last mountain lake tournament?

No, no, I've never been here before.

They didn't even have a curling rink there at the time.

They'd curl on the river or the lake, Lost Mountain Lake.

I'm not quite sure which.

But you used to have to bring your own curling rocks.
