Lassen National Forest

This is a 65 to 100 acre, 19 foot deep lake located in a wilderness area around 5,200 feet of elevation and 10 miles northwest of Chester, California.

This is not far from the Lassen National Forest.

This area is a popular location for fishing and hunting and is quite remote.

It was around 3 p.m. on a sunny afternoon in September 1956 that four people were deer hunting in this area.

Yeah.

This state is home to the most national forests, including Lassen National Forest and Mendocino National Forest.

Yoni, Brody, Randall all locked in.

I made up my mind a long time ago.

On the day it happened, I was hiking on a small trail alongside a stream off a forest road in Lassen National Forest, California.

There was a couple of cars along the road, so I thought it would be a safe place for me to hop onto a small trail.

I like to hike in some odd places, practicing my navigation skills with a map and a compass and my phone GPS app tracking my path.
