Larry Vickers

But let's get to some interesting gun news.

Number one is apparently in the ongoing case of Larry Vickers, who is one of the most prolific gun content creators on YouTube and also on, I think he had a show on the Outdoor Channel, and he's got a presence on Facebook and a few other things.

Well, he was basically arrested for some sanction stuff, trying to import things from Russia via other places, whatever all that was.

Anyway, he was basically arrested for that.

Not as much of a big deal, I would say, because he never really spent any time behind bars and people are conflicted on the whole Larry Vickers situation with his collection of machine guns that were not imported properly and the ATF doesn't like when you lie to them.

But it did come out that he has been sentenced to one year probation and a $500 fine, which isn't that just kind of insulting, right? A $500 fine for what? Like, you know, it's like when we're talking about like, oh, you imported like millions of dollars worth of firearms illegally.

And then you did this.

okay good afternoon everybody this is episode 414 of the john 1911 podcast today is tuesday september the 8th at 12 38 p.m eastern standard time it has been a few minutes since uh we've published a pod and that is obviously all of my fault this is going to be a solo episode i wanted to give people an update of kind of where things have been and you know why we've been away Really, I've been away because unfortunately, if I'm not available, it doesn't get published because I'm the publisher.

So we're just going to go ahead and run down through it.

Okay, finally here, I guess some good news.

Again, both of these are going to be kind of like good news, bad news, depending on where you are in the situation.

It has been revealed that the Larry Vickers, I guess the NF, the violations Larry Vickers was charged with, uh you know there was uh the the um there's some nfa issues and then there was some uh sanction issues uh with russia that he violated getting some stuff out of russia um that has been finally adjudicated so he has apparently been cooperating um with federal investigators and uh trying to you know get all this to you know to work so the first person to make a deal gets the best deal and i i would assume i would assume larry larry made the first deal when they all got caught i i don't know that i just assume but it looks like a pretty good deal to me so uh according to here what i'm looking at uh he has been sentenced to one year probation and a five hundred dollar fine now i'm not saying whether this is justified or not justified Or this is good news or bad news.

But I think probably from Larry's perspective, this is certainly better than what he was looking at because he was looking at many, many, many, many years in jail.

So $500 fine and one year probation.
