Larry Shiner

There's a good book you should read if you're interested in the difference between art and craft.

It's called The Invention of Art by Larry Shiner.

I won't make a habit of quoting all my source material, but I'm making an exception here because one, Professor Shiner has helped me directly with some of my other work, and two, that book was really good.

Cliff's Notes, the book argues that art, as we know it today, is a 19th century invention.
