Larry Owens

So it was very late at night and a friend of the show, Jizzle, was out on the Terps having a night out.

And he sent me a photo of himself with actor Larry Owens, who among other things has played the character of Zach in Abbott Elementary.

And he sent the photo to me because he was like, hey, you're from Abbott Elementary, let's get a photo.

Did that, sent it to me.

Oh, yeah.

Larry Owens won this.

I remember that because there was a big novelty check.

Oh, yeah.

Larry Owens won a big novelty check.

Yeah.

And so at this time, you're working at Colbert.

Is that Z-Way before? That's Z-Way before Z-Way, I think.

But there's an actual physical representation of Craigslist.

In this movie, and it's this sassy, awesome black dude, Larry Owens.

He's actually reading back Craigslist ads and explaining Craigslist ads to him.

But it's almost like in a fairy godmother way.

It's so fascinating.

And the way those sequences are shot are very trippy, very... to date myself here uh very windows player uh visualize a visualizer you remember those uh again dating myself but but it's very much in that ilk in the way that um the way he talks to craigslist um so matter of factly it's it's it's a really great running joke but it's one that they don't run into the ground which i which i appreciate because that is definitely a uh a very tough balance you have to strike.

But I've only seen Larry Owens in a couple things.
