Why don't you go out and hear some live music wherever you are just as soon as you can.

We'll keep our eyes on that.

In the three o'clock hour today, Larry Gross will be by to tell us about what's going on with the, uh, the next episode of Mountain Stage, and also Mighty John the Record Guy is gonna be here in about forty-five minutes.

But this is one of my favorite segments that we do once a month from Huntington Bank, Advocacy in Action, and today we're gonna spend some moments talking with Chad Morrison from the Mountaineer Food Bank.

How you doing, Chad?

We'll talk more about that as we move along.

We need to break for news here at the top of the hour.

When we come back, uh, we got a lot of music we're gonna get into in hour number two, and we'll kick it off with Larry Gross to talk about what's coming up next on Mountain Stage.

This is Metro News, the voice of West Virginia.

I hope you'll be back next week when we welcome Tony Trischka's Earl Jam featuring Michael Daves, Buffalo Wobbs and the Price Hill Hustle, Jack Barksdale and Sarah Borges.

It's 74 degrees outside, not a lot of humidity, as we operate out of our flagship 580 WCHS right downtown in West Virginia's capital city.

Coop, this is one of those, uh, days where, Larry Gross, who's coming to talk about Mountain Stage.

[sighs] Larry, the stuff we talk about off the air, we could probably sell.

[laughs]

And they run, oh, I'm trying to think of shows that they run now.

But they used to run, uh, what was the Larry Gross, Larry Gross show? Uh-

You mean the guy that did Junk Food Junkie?

Yes.

Under 500 miles, I think a truck is just usually going to be the way to go.

There's a great observer of this named Larry Gross.

He just retired, but he's really pointed out that, okay, anything under 500, yep.

750 to 1,000 is competitive.

I hope you'll be back next week as we welcome the Jayhawks, Tift Merritt, Tanasi, and Candy Jenkins.
