Larry Costello

Let's close out the podcast actually picking up with that Indiana Pacers game.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to avoid being 0-4 for the first time since the 1976-77 season where they started out the season 3-15 prior to the former coach at the time, Larry Costello, being... replaced by the late, great Don Nelson.

This is an interesting game.

Of course, there's a little bit of a proximity rivalry attached to this game.

He has 10 points, 4 baskets and 2 free throws, also 3 personal fouls.

And Larry Costello, I believe, is going to make a move to get him out of

there.

Shot is up by White.

Now the foul situation may have evened up just a shade because Milwaukee's hottest player offensively in the first quarter was Bob Dandridge, who led all teams with 10 points.

Dandridge, however, picked up his third personal foul with six seconds remaining in this quarter and went to the bench in favor of Mickey Davis.

Larry Costello has switched Oscar Robertson to John Havlicek.

Havlicek had four free throws in one basket in the period.

The other scores for Boston, Collins with two, White with three, Nelson four, Chaney two, and Henry Finkel had a push shot from the corner.

John Havlicek had 11 points.

He did not commit a personal foul.

And for a time, Larry Costello switched Oscar Robertson to John Havlicek.

As Oscar is regarded by Costello as Milwaukee's number one defensive player, he played Havlicek tough.
