They were writers who also had day jobs because they were in the South and And that's where we get, you know, a lot of really great Southern writers that were put through everybody from, you know, Lewis Norton and, you know, to Jill McCorkle and all these like fantastic writers.

Yeah, Larry Brown, Clyde Edgerton, who kind of came out of nowhere a little bit because this press was like, we're not worried about.

you know, credentialing you in this way that New York Publishing was.

And so they were very inspired by that.

So I think Southern fiction, like short stories are like, I'm a short story writer myself.

Like I think to me, like reading Larry Brown and Ron Rash's short fiction, um, All of those things are like just southern short story.

And if you do those two things and you stick with it long enough, there's a great southern writer named Larry Brown out of Mississippi who's passed away now.
