So there were a number of people brought on to pitch, uh, various plots for the actual bulk of the movie itself.

The eventual concept of the eighth Halloween film was recycled from a script by Larry Brand.

They repurposed a script inspired by the rise of reality television.

During a live horror stunt, a real serial killer would blur the lines between the staged horror of the reality show and the true terror of his brutal violence.

That would've been more interesting.

Well, so here's the thing.

I'm not knocking Larry Brand's script.

I don't think this is a great premise for a Halloween movie, and I'll explain why in just a minute.
