Developers of the proposed Laramie Range wind project have withdrawn their county permit applications while they work to resolve an issue with the condition attached to the project's state permit.

The wind farm was being developed by Connect Jan Laramie County, an affiliate of Repsol Renewables North America.

It was expected to be 139 turbines on 41,220 acres of Farthing Ranch Co. land and land managed by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments, roughly 20 miles northwest of Cheyenne.

Now, its university population brought together students from Wyoming and elsewhere, introducing a range of political, cultural, and social perspectives.

Laramie, located in southeastern Wyoming between the Snowy Range and the Laramie Range, were home to the University of Wyoming.

The university served as a major educational and cultural center for the state, attracting students interested in everything from agriculture and engineering to the humanities and political science.

In the summer of 1998, Matthew moved to Laramie and enrolled at the University of Wyoming for the 1998-1999 academic year.
