Lapel

...

I gotta give my small school shout-out really quick, okay? Jack Combs, we have some connections with him in Lapel.

The, the improvement that kid has made from a ninth grader to a 12th grader is unbelievable, okay? Like, anybody, uh, who maybe thinks that they're not coming in as a freshman as good as they want to be, "You know, I'm not running 1530 as a freshman, I must not be good," like, go freaking look at Jack Combs and-

Yeah

...

the progression he's had at Lapel.

It's unreal.

And then on the girls' side, once again, I'm gonna, I'm gonna be, uh, biased here.

It's intimate.

It's in middle of downtown LaPel.

Even after GA is let loose, it's still so good.

You're not

I think we are looking excited to a lot of these teams.

And some of the other notables out here, LaPel, with an enrollment of 502, is the smallest school to qualify as a team.

And this is their second straight appearance.

So I think...

Like, they've had some girls with a lot of success in the state finals.

Obviously, Prairie View, a different beast.

But Macy did some things, obviously, individually at LaPel.

Yeah.

Sure.

So for the team design, we got Noblesville, HSC, LaPel, Yorktown, Delta, Monroe Central, Cathedral, Chittard, Park Tudor, my Mount Vernon Marauders, New Palestine, Greenfield Central, Union County, Richmond, and Newcastle.

If you ask me in the last three years, it'd be pretty simple to give you the three names and those three schools could show up on Saturday and they're going to throw up their number.

They're going to move on.

There's a team in the background waiting for somebody to trip over their own two feet.

And there might be another team or two that are waiting for the same thing.

Now, Richmond at the Hall of Fame Classic did score lower than LaPel.

Yorktown has thrown up some low numbers.
