Which that brings me to my next question from Atwater.

What's the plan at quarterback next year? Another transfer portal guy or development of Landon Sims and Mason Droop? That's also a good question.

You know, and I was just talking to somebody about that earlier today of, you know, I don't know.

I just, I don't know if Wyoming...

I don't know if you make the game or win it or whatever it is, but I don't think you have the ability to, you know, take your foot off the gas in that aspect.

So I would expect them to go out and get another transfer portal guy like Tyler Hughes.

Again, going back to, the money situation but it's also and that's not to say like you're going out and getting a starting quarterback but you're going out and getting a guy to at least compete for the job like Tyler Hughes did and see where Landon Sims is or Mason Drew is if they come back where their development is at and if you're confident and Their ability to run Christian Taylor's offense.

And, you know, that's I don't think it's ever too early to start looking at that.

Landon Sims all over Twitter because he's punching people in the mouth.

Like, they kind of have some guys for the bottom of the roster.

Yeah.

And let's not forget, 12 carries, 183 yards, four touchdowns on the ground, 15.3 yards per carry.

And then Landon Sims, obviously getting Wyoming's last touchdown of the game, 41-23 final score against Northern Illinois.

Last Saturday, pretty good crowd at War Memorial Stadium.

And, you know, I do understand the flow of the game, but I do think that that's something that this program has gotten away from is running the football.

And even though you may not be getting home runs all the time, and you just look at how important that was even as early as last year with Landon Sims.

I mean, you know, he'd get two yards, three yards, and then he'd break off an 11-yarder, right? And, you know, I looked up a stat that in their five losses this year, they've only been stopped for a loss on a rushing play once this whole season.

And it was a one-yard loss from Devon Rice against San Jose State And that's the only time that a running play has been called and it went for a loss of yards.

He's the guy.

Um, if he does go out, I fully believe it'll be Landon Sims.

Uh, Kyle Hughes, "Would you still consider a coach change if they do, and I think they will, make a bowl game? It will be more a product of a weak schedule than great coaching.

It would send a message that so-so is no longer good enough around here." See, what, what we just talked about is kind of my hangup here, Kyle, is the, the money thing, and, and I, a- and believe me, I, I'm first in line to say I hate this more than anything in the whole wide world.

Uh, a lot of people aren't mentioning the pass protection we lost from Landon Sims last year.

It's a great point.

Going into this season, the talk was that Cam Barfield can block.

I don't think anybody was comparing him to Landon Sims.

He's not, doesn't have the same size.

He is rather strong for a guy his size, though.

And he-- I, I don't wanna put it more on him, but you, you bring up a good point about Landon Sims, that he, uh, was a good blocker.

And I asked Jay Savel again, and I asked Christian Taylor again, is this a chance that, you know, these slow starts have been historic on the road, especially.

Are you, is there a chance if you get off to another slow start Friday in San Jose that Landon Sims gets tabbed? Christian Taylor is a very laid-back, cool customer.

That's the one thing that he puts his foot down on and was like, no, absolutely not.

It's night and day, he says.

That is a lot more than $385,000.

And bet your ass they need and want and are focused on receivers.

They think that these quarterbacks, believe it or not, even though what Christian Taylor said, they feel really good about how Mason Darube is – is coming up through the ranks slowly, and they feel good about Landon Sims as well.

So wide receiver, if this staff is still a thing, wide receiver will 100% be part of the equation.
