Retail, I know I'm encompassing a lot of costs to build up my business.

But I think on the office side of it, it's almost kind of like Mr. Landlord or Mrs. Landlord.

I expect you to build it for me.

And if you're going into these investment side of things on the offices and you don't have those type of level of inducements into your performa, you might be shocked when you get people looking for you to do a lot of the work under land and a lot of the TI work for them.

And I don't think that's going to be the case.

My good friend, Paul Champlina, who runs Landlord Action and also the Rent Deposit Scheme, he said that even now, 20 years after the Rent Deposit Scheme was introduced, they still have landlords contacting them saying, oh, I didn't know I have to register my deposit.

So I think, unfortunately, there'll be lots of landlords who will be caught out by this.

And there'll be some very officious councils who are actively pursuing landlords where they think there is a breach of the obligations.

And anyone registering in a representative capacity, i.e. attorney, personal representative, deputy, receiver, trustee, must upload verified evidence of authority as well.

So that's a bit about the landlord registration and then how to get a property number.

Landlords will need to obtain a separate property registration number for each of their rental properties to have in England by the deadline of their region, which I've already covered.

They will be able to do this using the register your rental portal property service.

When I looked over the hedge, widow, Tom Lamport's widow, that was, was prodding for her nasturtiums with a daisy grubber.

After I had watched her for a little, I went down to the Fox and Grapes to tell landlord what she had said to me.

Landlord, he laughed, being a married man and at ease with the sex.

"Come to that," he said, "the tempest has blowed something into my field, a kind of a ship I think it would be." I was surprised at that until he explained that it was only a ghost ship and would do no hurt to the turnips.

We argued that it had been blown up from the sea at Portsmouth, and then we talked of something else.

"Why, you're fifty miles from the sea." Captain Roberts didn't turn a hair.

"So much as that, is it?" he said coolly.

"Well, it's of no consequence." Landlord was a bit upset at this.

Still, I thanked him and ended the conversation.

His story made a certain amount of sense.

Landlords did send maintenance workers around, I supposed.

Even so, I wished he had warned me beforehand or at least given me a timetable for Vincent's visits.

The unexplained lights continued and soon they were no longer limited to the kitchen.
