Land Park

And there's a big roost in Sacramento, as a matter of fact.

Dan Arola with the Central Valley Bird Club monitors a population in Land Park.

Oh, wow.

Okay.

And those little gaps allow warm air to escape and cold air to enter.

Now, if you live in an older Sacramento neighborhood like Arden Arcade, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, or Land Park, this is especially worth checking.

Many of these homes were built decades ago, and even well-maintained properties can develop drafts.

The solution may be surprisingly inexpensive.

Something that, um, you know, he, he was one that, uh, uh, appreciated the acknowledgement, but was not at the forefront of his day-to-day efforts.

Well, Tom Doris, we're talking about, was the Bing Maloney, uh, and Land Park, uh, head pro actually for, uh, you know, for a number of years.

He was at Bing as the head pro for 22 years.

But then, [laughs] you know, the 40 years total.

There's a small little apartment, which many of you might not be aware, at Bing Maloney, couple hundred square feet at most.

And, uh, he, he lived there, uh, from let's call it 18 years of age and, and, and took on other responsibilities, driving range, driving range manager, and transitioned into the golf shop.

And, and then in 1974, he was provided the opportunity when, w- when Bus Pendleton retired, um, to take over the concessions at, uh, Bing Maloney and Land Park, which, which then evolved into, um, at, at the culmination of his career, uh, he was managing 54 holes of golf for the City of Sacramento.

Um-

Appreciate it.

Javier is hiding in his home in Land Park.

Might be.

We don't know where he is.
