Lance Klusener

You know, because they weren't stepping back.

I mean, they had Lance Klusener.

Um, they had a lot of big, you know, Shaun Pollock, uh, Herschel Gibbs.

Um, and they had a lot of really, really tough and hard-nut cricketers.

in like a, you know, you know-

Lance Klusener, hello.

[laughs]

Yeah.

Jonty Rhodes.

Lance Klusener.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

But I suppose taking 16 wickets, [chuckles] um, in a Test match is probably one of the big ones.

Oh, I didn't realize that Lance Klusener took eight for on his debut.

Um, and the other one I was going to say, but I couldn't remember if it was him or Manjot Delahau, but it was Kyle Abbott who I was commentating with the other day.

Um, I wa- I was trying to remember that spell after I was, I was...

So you almost need to see the game, not the highlights.

I don't think you need that to understand Lance Klusener, right? Very different kinds of players, but do you know what I mean? You don't need to understand that for Lance Klusener.

Um, and so, and Viv Richards.

If you look at highlights package of Viv Richards, there are small things that you'll miss, but you'll get the basic point.

eyes?Yeah, look, coming in as a number 11 batsman, you know, they obviously all the fast bowlers, they aim for your fingers.

And I remember Lance Klusener giving me a finger protection.

He goes, "That's gonna be the most important asset for you, um, not anything else when it comes, you know, to your cr- cricketing gear." Uh, and, uh, I remember facing Shaun Tait at Northants.

He bowled a really quick bumper.
