Lance Burton

we just had a crazy run of magic episodes on the podcast from Michael Breger to just Alan, just Felice.

And then, oh my gosh, Lance Burton.

That was awesome.

You know, I knew he was going to be, I told you, he's just a laid back guy.

Well, I'll tell you two things I never do.

And I did it telling you now.

Somebody tried to book a show during Lance Burton's podcast.

And we're like, we're booked.

It is indeed a performance venue, but it is also a magician's club and members must go through an application process.

Famous members include Penn and Teller, David Blaine, Lance Burton, Ricky Jay, Neil Patrick Harris, who entered through the Academy's Junior Society and has actually served as the president of the Academy, Ed Alonzo from Saved by the Bell, Harry Anderson from Night Court, Steve Martin, who worked for three years full-time at Disneyland's Merlin's Magic Shop in Fantasyland as a teenager, We have Jacqueline Smith's real-life poodle Albert is back and makes an appearance early in this episode.

And one more, if you can stand it, at the beginning of the episode, Sabrina meets an old colleague from her LAPD days, just like Kelly in Angel Baby.

Lieutenant Alex Summers, played by Wyatt Johnson.

They've hired a brand name magician that is supposed to be incredibly talented and will wow the crowd.

You will always remember the magic of Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino.

Call 730-7160.

You activated Corrin.

Welcome to the Big Bad Broadcast, dude.

Hi, I'm Lance Burton, Master Magician, and welcome to the Big Bad Broadcast.

Hey, this is Michael Carbonaro, and you're listening to my smooth voice instead of the imbeciles at Big Bad Broadcast.

Hey, this is Billy Gargoyle from Mike and Molly, Bob Hart's Abishola, Young Sheldon.

Tommy Chong.

Thank you, Tommy Chong.

Lance Burton.

Lance Burton.

Action!

Hi, I'm Lance Burton.

I'm standing in the middle of the Nevada desert, just outside Las Vegas, the magic capital of the world.

On a clear day, you can see for 100 miles in every direction.

dressed up.

This guy is one of the most accomplished stage magicians of our time.

Lance Burton has performed thousands of shows in Las Vegas, starred in television specials, inspired generations of magicians.

He's back on the road with Lance Burton and friends, and he continues to give back through his charity work by mentoring young performers.

Like, you have to really, like, be cringy about it.

It reminds me of, like, Lance Burton, bro.

Yeah.

You gotta be...

It's really cool.

Worst, I'm going to say Lance Burton.

This is many years ago at Monte Carlo.

And that's because he would bring kids up on stage.

Like it just ruined the entire show for me.

Like this is lame as hell.

And so I remember leaving there and be like, Oh, screw you Lance Burton.

That wasn't, that wasn't smart.

And then he goes, look, and then an index card just appeared.

I was like, well, how the hell did you do that? So we went to go see Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo Hotel.

And Lance Burton always brings a kid out of the audience.

And Chris always wants to be the kid, and he almost always was the kid that was picked for something.

So we're walking into the theater and I said, Chris, a lot of kids here, you don't get picked for everything, you probably won't get picked.

Hey you, Chris, come on up.

So now my son's on stage with Lance Burton.

And he gets into a Cadillac, and then the Cadillac disappears.
