Hello, Coach, how are you today?

I'm doing good.

Um, Tiger Sports Page is a weekly podcast and YouTube program dedicated to all things Lancaster ISD sports.

Lancaster ISD, for those who don't know the geography, is in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex j- in North Texas, just south of Dallas.

Lancaster High School, which is most of what we cover on this podcast, plays into interschool- university Interscholastic League in the 5A division.

Now, on to our segment.

Welcome back to episode two of season four of Tiger Sports Page.

And today we're joined by Lancaster High School head football coach, Steven Jackson.

Hello, Coach Jackson.

How are you?

Thank you all for having me.

In 2025, he was the cover athlete for EA Sports College Football 27.

His older brother, Gerald, is a defensive back at Ole Miss, and he's a four-star recruit out of Lancaster High School in Texas.

If you guys have not seen Keelan Lacey, get used to seeing him.

You're going to see him on your highlight reels every Saturday.

But I think the interesting thing with him is...

One, I didn't realize that he split carries his first year at Lancaster High School with another D1 kid who is from Tupelo, actually, Kyson Brown.

He's now at Arizona State.

But they were kind of a 1A, 1B that Kimon's junior year is when he got to Lancaster.

um and he didn't really take off as a national big-time recruit until his senior year which for some guys is too late because recruiting starts so early now um but kiwan was so good that he was able to obviously make a a national name for himself but one of my favorite questions is always what's the craziest thing you've ever seen this player do on the field and All of the coaches, teammates, former teammates said it was this one run against a team called South Oak Cliff.

And that doesn't mean anything to me, right? I don't know what these teams in Dallas are, you know, and they were like, and he described it to me.
